I was born and raised in Pensacola, FL, but spent all my summers in Sidney, ME. I graduated from Berry College with a bachelor's degree in Animal Science/Pre-Vet. I volunteered at an animal sanctuary in Maine every summer, from an early age all the way through college, where I was fortunate enough to work with a wide variety of domestic (livestock), exotic (lions, tigers, and bears, oh my), and wild animals (rehabilitation for native Maine wildlife). I then lived at the animal sanctuary for one year after I graduated. I began my veterinary career in the summer of 2007 as a veterinary technician and worked my way up to being a practice manager in 2020. My hobbies include horseback riding, going to the beach or out in the boat, and hiking with my 4-legged friend, Reese, a Chocolate Labrador Retriever.
