Post Op Non Elective Surgeries, planned C-sections or chemotherapy patients: Dr. Ashley has given you her emergency cell phone number at discharge. She is typically available until 10 PM for 3 days post surgery or chemotherpy treatment for any questions or concerns. Please attempt to contact her first for post op emergencies or questions; Please be aware that she does not carry the emergency phone unless she has planned to be on call for these specific cases and specific timeframe.
If you have an emergency outside of our regular business hours, we recommend that you contact the Veterinary Emergency and Referral Center in Pensacola.
Emergency cases may be treated as outpatient or admitted overnight for diagnostics and treatment. The following morning, all emergency cases will be discharged for follow care at Cordova Animal Medical Center. If an emergency occurs, please call our office at 479-2222 and alert us that your pet was seen at the emergency clinic so that we can schedule appropriate follow up care. Surgical procedures, ultrasounds, continued hospitalization can be performed at our hospital by your regular doctor for lower cost and continuity of care. While there may be special circumstances that require your pet to remain at the emergency center, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can formulate a treatment plan for your pet.
