Examinations:    

Your pet's annual (or biannual for pets over 7 or with special problems) examination is the most important tool that we have for early detection of problems,  development of wellness health plans,  and communication of health needs.  We will obtain a thorough history and information about heartworm and flea prevention,  changes in urine or stool, appetite, and any life changes.    Dr. Ashley will examine all systems of your pet including heart and lungs,  evaluate lymph nodes,   check the ears (outside and with the scope), examine the mouth/teeth,  skin, palpate the abdomen, and neurological and muculoskeletal systems.  We will discuss our findings and any concerns you may have.  We will then formulate a plan for addressing any problems, including giving you a written treatment plan and estimate.   Problems usually require a recheck examation in 1-2 wks.
