Cordova Animal Medical Center offers the following canine reproductive services:

Semen collection and analysis  (no large aggressive breeds- we are just not able to collect from some males)
Semen collection for shipment (fresh chilled only- clients must provide kit)

Vaginal cytology:   We prefer to do these in conjunction with progesterone levels
Progesterone levels:   Dogs often require several progesterone levels in order to determine the correct breeding time.
  *Home kit progesterone levels are often not accurate.   Successful pregnancy is dependent on careful timing, determined by blood progesterone testing performed at a veterinary laboratory.   Clients who choose to have their own progesterone testing  performed prior to regular AI, do so at their own risk (take responsibility for timing of the breeding).  Surgical AI candidates will not be accepted w/o appropriate progesterone/LH  testing performed by a veterinarian. 

Artificial Insemination regular:  Procedure using fresh or fresh chilled semen only- sedation may be required for some bitches
Surgical Artificial Insemination (best rate of conception):  This is a general anesthesia procedure using fresh/fresh chilled/or frozen semen 
  *Inseminations performed on Sundays will require an additional fee
 ** Sorry, we do not offer transcervical insemination at this time**

Planned or Emergency C-Section:    Patients who have become pregnant through our artificial insemination program  are eligible for reduced fees on C-Sections and the availability of an On-Call Veterinarian  (Dr. Ashley)   during the 3 days prior and 3 days after the due date.  These C-Sections must be paid in advance.
